Terri Brooks is originally from Long Beach, California. Terri is a woman of God who loves the Lord and is passionate about standing on God’s word. A single mother of three beautiful daughters…
Aijalon-16, Mahlon-14, and Elon-11, All of their names taken right from the Bible, forming The World of Lonsville.
As an avid sports fan and former basketball player. Originally playing in her first organized basketball league with the YMCA at the age of 5. Terri loves watching basketball, football, soccer, baseball, volleyball and so forth, along with watching Sports Nation, Sports Center and listening to sports radio. But nothing compares to watching her oldest Aijalon competing on the soccer field as a goal keeper and mid fielder for Ayso select… who has now traded in her cleats to pursue her passion to become an Attorney; her youngest Elon competing on the soccer field as a former defender for Ayso select as well, but not a wing for her new Team with Arsenal; and her second oldest, Mahlon, competing and performing as a cheerleader for Crossroads Christian School and earning the title of National Champions in 2018 and 2019, and now as a Freshman having the honor of making the Cheer Squad and Competition Team for her High School.
Prior to getting married and having her three beautiful daughters, Terri attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo to study speech communications, but left school to help her older sister raise her niece, Portia Ford, which she considers to also be her oldest daughter and who is also the Vice President of her foundation, The World of Lonsville, Inc. After leaving college, Terri went on to work for Toyota and Lexus Headquarters for ten years before leaving to pursue her dream job as a Fashion Designer with a Custom Clothier Company. As a Custom Clothier Designer, Terri was responsible for providing a complete wardrobe for Professional athletes, Announcers and staff member for the Los Angeles Lakers along with other NBA and NFL organizations. After several months, Terri joined a close girlfriend and they started their own Custom Clothier business called LeChemise, styling and creating custom suits for professional athletes. After having her daughters, Terri created her own Event planning company while also being an Interior designer for neighbors, family, and close friends. Terri was a former substitute assistant teacher at Crossroads Christian School where all three of her daughters attended school. Terri’s passion is to make sure every child reaches beyond their full potential while having the confidence to know they can succeed and excel in anything they set their mind to.
Terri is on a mission, to go where ever she can to speak publicly about Breast Cancer, to educate, encourage, inform and inspire both men and women, whether they have been diagnosed with Breast Cancer or caring for someone diagnosed with Breast Cancer. As a Spokesperson for Susan G. Komen and a motivational speaker for Breast Cancer and Health Awareness, Terri has had the privilege of promoting the More Than Pink Walk to raise funds for Breast Cancer research on CBS and KCAL 9. Terri also had a featured segment on Spectrum TV for her Annual Health and Fitness Fair, along with being a Guest Speaker on a panelist for KJLH Women’s Expo, a guest speaker on numerous of radio stations including 94.7 The Wave, KRock, Born to Talk Radio, as well as speaking at churches, health fairs, fundraisers, conferences, support groups and the list goes on. In 2020, Terri was proud to join Anastasia of Beverly Hills makeup and eyebrow studio to promote cancer awareness to help provide inspiration for women who have not only lost their confidence, but their eye brows as well after receiving Radiation and or Chemotherapy.
Terri’s heart and passion for people, especially those hurting and in need, led her to create a 501c3 Non Profit Foundation called, The World of Lonsville, Inc., named after her three daughters, encouraging and inspiring them that they can always have the confidence in this world to excel and achieve in anything they set their mind to, while also helping those in this world who are in need along the way. Terri decided to come up with a Non Profit Organization, The World of Lonsville, Inc., not only for women who have been diagnosed with Breast Cancer, but to also help women encountering the same struggles and devastations that she encountered while dealing with health issues and a divorce. Terri’s on a mission to make sure her daughters, and no other woman whether with children or not, will not experience nor have to suffer or struggle financially. Whether it be a medical crisis, an unexpected divorce, or being a single mom fighting from being homeless. As a Breast Cancer Survivor, having to go through being diagnosed with Breast Cancer stage 3b and a divorce all at the same time, Terri is on a determined to make sure whether diagnosed with Breast Cancer or a single mother sacrificing to provide for her children after experiencing a traumatic or unwanted divorce…NO woman will be left behind!
